Facility: Enchantment Acres is a small commercial enterprise owned and operated by the James'. There is a small gift shop, which has a nice variety of irisy things, and other garden related items. It is located 35 miles N/NW of Syracuse, New York.

Open: Saturday, Sunday and evenings or by special appointment. It is best to call ahead.
Restrooms: yes; private


Directions: From Syracuse, take Rte. 690 N, which turns into Rte. 48. When reach- ing Fulton, turn left onto Rte.3 at stop light by bridge & a Pizza Hut on the left. Head west on Rte.3 toward Hannibal, going thru Granby Ctr./Dexterville four corners. At Dexterville, there is a County 'Salt Dome'. Proceed to next four corners (Muck Dr.), left onto Muck Dr. (short paved/dirt road). Go to the end and cross Old Rte.3, turn left. On the left, you will see a long grey ranch-type house with a shop in front & our sign on it, Enchantment Acres.


Restaurants: Picnicing is permitted, but there is an open pond. Children MUST be supervised at ALL times. There are eating places in near-by Hannibal or Fulton.
Bloom-time: approximate peak bloom for TBs is the first week of June. There are medians that come into bloom earlier, with Siberians, Japanese, and Louisianas, flowering about the third week of June. It is always a good idea to call ahead when traveling so as to know what might be blooming. Ron and Donna have a variety of shade-loving plants, succulents, daylilies, and other perennials available.
There is adequate parking for cars, vans or buses.
