The Sidney Mitchell seedling, Mitchell JS-M-176B, pod parent of UNICORN (Lloyd Austin, R. 1952) has been credited with the genetic 'carrier' of the 'Horned, Spooned, Flounced' trait. The pollen parent, Austin 46-38: Advance Guard, selfed, has not been credited with passing a tendency to throw 'space-age' horns.
