BROWN THRASHER (Kirkland R. 1939). TB-LaM-S6M. Copper Lustre X Tobacco Road HM 1940; A.M. 1943. Kirkland 1941.
From Tell's 1951 catalog: M. (Copper Lustre x...) Light copper-tan that in some seasons is very bright, others dull. Should be a good parent with Tobacco Road, Aztec Copper, or other very wide and flaring iris.
Schreiner's 1944 catalog: ...the entire flower glows and glistens with a brilliant iridescence. In color, it is like a piece of highly polished brass or bronze.... the coloring is very smooth. There is no other iris like it.
