From Cornell Bulletin 112:

CELESTE (Lémon, 1855). Color effect a delicate azure-blue self. S. pallid blue-violet. F. pallid bluish violet, lighter along the whitish, yellow-tipped beard. The surface texture of the standards is crumpled, while that of the falls is slightly cockled. This plant is especially useful for its cool blue color and mass produced by the numerous smallish flowers. Its vigorous growth, well-borne flowers, and soft color continue to make it a favorite.
